Accounting Clerk
Summary/Objective
To perform general accounting bookkeeping and accounts payable duties for the organization including posting of various ledger entries, and completion of various schedules and reports to management on a regular basis in an expeditious and efficient manner and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
To assist in other related front office duties in a cooperative and dependable manner.
Essential Functions

1.
Provide assistance to the Controller.
2.
Assist cashier as needed by answering phone calls and receiving mortgage payments and covering during lunch.
3.
Reconcile General Ledger Accounts
4.
Input daily reports.
5.
Maintains monthly and quarterly investor reports.
6.
Submits quarterly interim financial statements to banks.
7.
Ensures compliance with Davis-Bacon Act includes submitting required reports.
8.
Maintains monthly records from FHLB.
9.
Input monthly FHLB data & submit report to FHLB.
10.
Submit inspections for housing authority.
11.
Enters Credit Card transaction into Chase and complete purchase orders.
12.
Assist accounts payable clerk by printing checks to subcontractors as needed.
13.
Distribute funds through manual checks as needed.
14.
Assists Accountant with audit schedules and accounts payable related requests from auditor.
15.
Process checks requests.
16.
Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies.
17.
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately.
Required Education / Certification and Experience
1.
A minimum of an Associate’s Degree from an accredited University or College in Accounting or related field
2.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the accounting field.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
1.
Fluent in English and Spanish language in both written and verbal styles.
2.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
3.
Working knowledge of database software; Internet software, accounting software, spreadsheet software and word processing software
