Job Title Residential Mortgage Loan Originator Classification Non-Exempt Salary Grade/Range Level E ($46,020 - $69,030) Reports to Director of Lending Date Revised June 26, 2023 JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective Responsible for interviewing client applicants, inputting loan applications into the computer system, analyzing and verifying data, and presenting loan information to the Director of Lending, Underwriter, Executive Director, and the Loan committee for final approval efficiently and expeditiously and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Responsible for producing high volume of quality loans which meet the general guidelines established by the Board of Directors.

Interview client applicants for mortgage loan pre-qualifications and or loan applications, input data into computer systems, issue disclosures, and other credit reports.
Verify accuracy of data on applications.
Review the loan file to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and requirements.
Coordinate closing activities with senior loan processor and / or the legal secretary.
Prepare adverse action notice of all denied loans.
Perform post-closing review of all documents and make corrections as necessary.
Aid primary staff in the area by answering telephones, assisting walk-in customers, and providing general program information to interested parties.
Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and adhere to confidentiality policy.
Adhere to the Company's policy on attendance.
Adhere to the Company's punctuality standards.
Perform all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or others.

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of the organization, including Saturday rotations, and is expected to work a minimum of 40 hours each week.
Travel Occasional travel outside of area related to training may be required of this position.
Required Education / Certification and Experience High School Diploma from an accredited high school or equivalent.
Be a licensed Residential Mortgage Loan Originator through the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending.
A minimum of five years’ experience in mortgage loan origination, processing and closing required.
Relevant Licenses/Certifications None Required.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications Fluent in English and Spanish languages in both written and verbal styles.
Ability to obtain a Notary Public Commission.
Working knowledge of database software and Encompass Mortgage Software; Internet software, accounting software, spreadsheet software and word processing software.
Obtain clearance against the US General Services Administration (GSA) Excluded Party List.
Obtain clearance against the HUD Limited Denial of Participation List (LDP List).
Obtain clearance against the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) Suspended Counterparty Program (SCP) list.
Work Authorization / Security Clearance None.
