We are looking for a highly motivated and well-organized Mortgage Lending Assistant to join our team in McAllen, Texas.
This is an entry level position and a great opportunity for someone interested in the mortgage field.
The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills and a strong attention to detail.
Summary
As a Mortgage Lending Assistant you would be responsible for greeting customers and answering and directing phone calls.
You would also provide administrative support to the loan processors including assisting with borrower communications, obtaining documentation, and compiling loan documents.

Duties & Responsibilities
Greet customers and answer phone calls
Assist Mortgage Loan Processors with the mortgage process, including gathering documentation, processing paperwork and communicating with customers
Keep track of loan files and ensure assigned tasks are completed on time
Review related documents for accuracy
Maintain excellent customer relations and protect confidentiality
Remain current on all mortgage lending regulations and requirements
Adhere to all Bank policies and procedures
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or GED
Excellent customer service skills
Strong problem-solving, organizational and time management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to prioritize multiple demands in a fast paced environment while maintaining a professional demeanor
Ability to learn, understand and adhere to regulations, policies and procedures
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
Associate degree or specialized training
1-2 years of experience in the mortgage industry or a related field
