We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Title Examiner to join our team.
As a Title Examiner, you will be responsible for conducting thorough research and examination of property titles to ensure accuracy and legality.
Your expertise in title examination and knowledge of relevant regulations will play a crucial role in facilitating smooth real estate transactions.
*Responsibilities*
- Conduct comprehensive title searches and examinations to determine ownership, liens, encumbrances, and other relevant information
- Review legal documents such as deeds, mortgages, contracts, and easements
- Analyze public records, surveys, and plats to verify property boundaries and legal descriptions
- Identify any potential issues or discrepancies in title documentation
- Collaborate with attorneys, lenders, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to resolve title-related matters
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations for further action
- Stay updated on industry regulations and changes in fair housing laws
- Ensure compliance with FNMA guidelines and other applicable regulations
*Requirements*
*- *Proven experience as a Title Examiner or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of title examination procedures and practices
- Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and guidelines
- Understanding of loan processing, mortgage servicing, and loan origination processes
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify errors or inconsistencies in legal documents
- Proficient in contract interpretation and analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders - Proficiency in using 10-key typing for data entry purposes
- Solid math skills for calculations related to property values
*Education*
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s preferred
*Experience*
- Typically requires 5+ years of related work experience
