0 FLSA Exempt Scope of Job To serve as the expert administrator and best practice organizer for the university’s CRM ecosystem within the assigned area.
To lead all technical and functional implementation, compliance, data integrity, and analysis of system data, user adoption, and lead/student management processes.
Responsible for developing, executing, and managing key CRM functions including admissions applications, document handling, data integrity, reports, dashboards, events, communications, and overall campaigns.
Description of Duties Manages and leads the assigned CRM initiative collaborating with key departmental stakeholders on the day-to-day operations of the CRM solution.
Provides support, maintenance, optimization, and upgrades of CRM applications and corresponding interfaces to third-party or locally connected systems.
Develops and maintains the technical components needed for data imports, CRM data processing, data exports, and data integration to Student Information System.
Responsible for developing, executing, and managing communication campaigns and events.
Interprets and conducts user testing for all system changes, enhancements, upgrades, and patches, including required maintenance and releases.
Develops and creates customized reports and dashboards.
Ensures the overall quality of data by performing data quality control procedures, including review and completion of data change requests, checking and merging duplicate contacts, standardizing data and ensuring that the necessary data fields are populated according to data standards.
Creates and maintains workflows and approval processes, coordinates with designated teams to solve technical problems.
Designs and implements new features to help improve student/lead conversion rates, manages integrations to external applications as needed to help improve the user/lead experience.
Updates, maintains, and documents training materials, department guidelines, system documentation on processes and best practices.
Provides support to system users and acts as the primary point of contact for end-user support.
Plans develops and provides training to system users.
Designs and implements new features to optimize system usage.
Monitors industry trends and best practices and recommends changes to current CRM processes to benefit the university.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received General supervision from assigned supervisor.
Supervision Given Direct supervision of assigned staff.
Required Education Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
Preferred Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems/Computer Science.
Licenses/Certifications Preferred: Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Marketing Cloud Administrator, and/or Platform App Builder.
Required Experience Three (3) years of experience with CRM applications or student information systems including updates, enhancements, building reports, managing dashboards, workflows and security or related experience.
Preferred Experience Knowledge of Banner Student Information System.
Direct experience with TargetX or Salesforce CRM app development within a higher education/enterprise level of complexity.
Experience with Salesforce API and Salesforce-related Web Services (REST/SOAP/JSON/Bulk.
Equipment Use of standard office equipment.
Working Conditions Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties.
Office Environment; some travel and weekend work may be required.
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
UTRGV is a distributed institution, which requires presence at multiple locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
*Work is performed primarily in a general office environment to include hybrid work (subject to change based upon business needs).
If the work is performed off campus, high-speed internet and a designated workspace are required.
