The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for Shah Eye Center’s Clinical Team, including the overall supervision of all clinical staff, assisting physician(s) as needed with recording medical findings, assisting with Lasik surgeries, troubleshooting Medinformatix (EMR) issues, explaining tests and medications to patients, counseling patients on Lasik and other surgeries, ensuring sample medication inventory and refrigerator logs are maintained according to company policy, assisting with Call Backs as needed to ensure proper medication management and/or customer service, assists with or performs A&B scans on patients as needed, handles patient complaints/problems, takes photographs of patients prior to and post-surgery, responsible for all disinfecting of instruments and for condition of equipment in the clinic, preparing work schedules, attending health fairs/screenings as needed, maintains and is responsible for ordering clinical inventory.
The Clinical Supervisor ensures that he/she is able to support the mission of Shah Eye Center.
The Clinical Supervisor is also responsible for monitoring tech/clinical activities, evaluating and documenting employee performance.
Responsible for coordinating efforts with the Billing Department and other departments as needed/required.
The Clinical Supervisor is required to oversee the audit/review 10 charts/week and oversee the Special Tests Logs for all facilities.
Ensure that daily audits are conducted on all special testing and that reports are submitted to the Billing Department as required on the 15th and 30th of the month.
Ensures that all machines are calibrated as required to provide accurate readings.
Responsible for day to day duties of an Ophthalmic Tech including but not limited to gathering patient’s medical information, performing visual screenings and diagnostic tests prior to seeing Physicians.
Responsible for explaining exam procedures/protocols to patients.
Responsible for patient teaching as needed/requested.
Ensures that all exam rooms are properly stocked and maintained.
Ensures that all needed supplies are ordered and that stock is available as needed/requested.
