Driver Manager/Dispatcher

Fourwide Transportation, LLC is an asset based trucking company located in McAllen, Texas.
We primarily focus on the shipment of steel, machinery, industrial equipment, and general freight across the US, Mexico, and Canada.
This position will be responsible dispatching all drivers and problem solve different issues drivers have on the road with the goal of driver satisfaction and on-time delivery.
*Duties and Responsibilities*: Other duties as assigned.
* Communicate with brokers and customers to negotiate rates * Review and sign transport agreements or rate confirmations * Assist with entering load bookings in Dispatch Software.
* Dispatch drivers on loads.
* Monitor driver routes to minimize out-of-route miles * Assist customers in matters concerning their freight.
* Coordinate delivery appointments and provide directions to drivers * Manage driver availability and time off schedules * Document any communication with drivers by placing a check call with detailed comments.
* Monitor driver hours-of-service to allow for on-time deliveries and avoid violations * Answer all dispatch incoming phone calls * Manage driver onboarding and safety training / orientations *Requirements* * High School diploma required, college degree preferred * Previous flatbed trucking dispatch experience preferred * Previous experience working with loadboards preferred * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Able to type 35wpm * Detail oriented.
* The ability to work in a fast paced environment and make decisions.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $35,000.
00 - $40,000.
