Responsibilities: POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the logistical processing of customer orders, includes coordination with vendors, GPO, purchasing staff, patient care representatives, accounting representatives, warehouse and shippers.
Directs the day-to-day Materials Management operations at assigned facility(s).
Manages utilization of equipment, facilities, and personnel to obtain maximum efficiency and meet performance objectives.
Controls significant standardization efforts, while maintaining authority over distribution and scheduling.
Establishes priorities, standards, and procedures.
Recommends changes, reviews progress, and coordinates activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies.
Follows direction set by Regional Director, Supply Chain Operations and Chief Financial Officer’s.
Implements procedures and guidelines to ensure attainment of business plan for growth and profit.
Provides direction and structure for operating units within the Materials Management department.
Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS: 1.
Solid management skills are required, as well as some accounting knowledge.
Should possess a basic knowledge of economics and a strong understanding of basic business procedures.
Requires familiarity with medical/surgical supplies and working knowledge of medical terminology.
2.
Work requires a minimum of five years of broad-based experience in material control systems, receiving/distribution systems and fiscal management, to include at least two years in a supervisory capacity.
Good analytical skills.
Effective negotiation skills.
3.
Computer literate, with 3 to 5 years experience with a materials management software system.
4.
Demonstrates knowledge of fundamental management skills (i.
e.
plan, organize, direct, control) EDUCATION / LICENSURE: High School diploma, GED, or Higher Education required.
Bachelors or Associate degree preferred.
Supply Chain Certification preferred.
