The Alps Alpine Group operates 110 bases in 26 countries and regions, supplying roughly 40,000 different products and solutions to around 2,000 companies worldwide.
Those offerings include devices such as switches, sensors, data communication modules, touch input panels, actuators, and power inductors; electronic shifters, remote keyless entry systems, and other automotive units; consumer electronics like car navigation and audio-visual systems; and systems and services such as digital keys based on the smartphone app and blockchain technology, and remote monitoring.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducts Process, Quality, and Environmental Management System Audits of potential suppliers to analyze supplier capabilities relative to Alpine's established standards, and requirements.
Conducts yearly audits as per OEM customer-specific requirements & regulations such as VDA, BIQS, CQI, ISO9001 & IATF16949 to assess supplier capabilities relative to Alpine, German, and US.
Conducts supplier improvement plans for Quality, Environmental, and on-time Delivery performance.
Supports material localization activities with advanced sourcing buyers and design engineers in Mexico, USA & Japan.
Manages the part approval process (PPAP) for new & existing mechanical, AR & electrical production parts for audio & infotainment divisions.
Provide reports on activities, progress, and constraints related to PPAP, supplier development, and other key activities to management regularly with clear action plans.
Maintains internal databases & schedules for the part approval process, tooling revision history, and supplier performance to quality & delivery.
Effectively coordinate all design changes between supplier & design group in USA & Japan.
Keeps track of all new launch trial events dates, assuring parts approval before the MP due date to prevent line-down situations.
Evaluate quality issues and general supplier performance with QA and Purchasing and report to management Ensure On-Time Delivery (OTD) is uploaded into the appropriate database in a timely manner – Leads & manages environmental compliance to ISO14001 to support & promote Alpine's Green Procurement Policies.
Upload this information into the appropriate databases, as required.
Supports & manages small group activities with advanced purchasing buyers as required on a yearly basis.
Performs on-site visits, as required, to Alpine facilities in Mexico, USA, EU, China, and Japan.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and/or ABILITY · Knowledge of Quality principles such as LEAN Manufacturing, 6-Sigma, 5S, and TQM.
· Ability to connect research data using web-based tools.
· Ability to identify and resolve in a timely manner.
· Writes clearly and informatively, edits work for spelling and grammar and varies writing style to meet needs, presents numerical data effectively.
· Able to read and interpret English written information.
· Bilingual in Spanish & Japanese language is preferred.
· Balances team and individual responsibilities, exhibits objectivity and openness to other’s views; gives and welcomes feedback.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively multi-task.
Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Self-motivated team player who demonstrates initiative and flexibility.
· Full knowledge of Automotive (AIAG Manual Core Tools) Standards.
· Strong knowledge on ISO9001 & IATF16949 Standards.
· Knowledge of Automotive OEM customer-specific requirements such as VDA for German customers; BIQS for General Motors, CQI, CAT, PCAT for Stellantis; Q1 for Ford.
