A Compliance Coordinator level 1 would be expected to be detail orientated and have good organizational, written and verbal skills.
Good critical thinking skills to identify and present correction suggestions for the problem areas.
* Carry out special projects – Such as OSHA/HIPAA compliance audits.
* Assist in organizing onboarding new hires and annual employee OSHA and HIPAA training, follow up on staff Hepatitis testing and vaccine series.
* Collect information and provide a variety of reports and analyses to Compliance officer.
* Familiar with healthcare regulatory: Stay abreast with the US Healthcare Compliance and OSHA-HPIAA laws, regulations, and enforcement environment, and understand how they impact the organization.
* Assist the compliance officer with the organization’s compliance policies and programs, and assist in educating staff on applicable compliance rules, regulations, and best practices.
* Assist in managing compliance matters and risks in a professional manner.
Organize and maintain vaccine and employee medical records.
* Encourage a zero-tolerance environment where fraud or noncompliance is unacceptable.
* Assist the compliance department in conducting regular reviews of policies, training, and communications, and other components of the compliance program to ensure continuous improvement.
* The Safety /HIPAA Officer coordinator is responsible for monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and reporting to compliance officer
