Inventory Clerk/Trainer is responsible for the training of the custodial staff for the District.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Graduate or GED required Five years’ experience in custodial operations preferred Five years of Warehouse operation experience preferred Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
SKILLS: Must have computer knowledge and be able to use Microsoft Office and inventory software.
The ability to write memoranda, emails and letters.
Self-motivated and be able to maintain effective working relationships with schools district personnel.
Strong organizational skills.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Inspect facilities on a daily basis to ensure employees are following specifications.
Provide orientation and training to all new custodial employees.
• Provide periodic in-service training for all custodial staff as required.
• Evaluate chemicals, supplies, and equipment and make recommendations.
• Manage and keep track of custodial equipment and supplies inventory.
• Assist campus administrator in developing and implementing an efficient custodial schedule.
Coordinates cleaning, waxing, stripping, carpet cleaning, and other special services as directed.
• Maintains a safety program for all custodial staff to include MSDS review on all products.
• Oversees warehouse audits and ensures periodic counts stay accurate by following best known practices.
• Maintains warehouse supplies, critical parts, and all equipment inventories updated.
• Management and implementation of warehouse procedures.
• Responsible of timely scheduled deliveries.
• Oversees mail delivery.
• Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
EQUIPMENT USED: • District vehicles, man-lifts, fork-lifts, two-way radio, personal computer, printer, and copier.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical demands/Environment Factors: • Maintains emotional control under stress, working inside and outside, working in extreme weather conditions, working after hours when the work demands.
