Job Summary
The Jr.
Vipers Academy Basketball Operations Manager will direct and oversee our youth basketball programs conducted throughout the year at DHR Sports Center while promoting our strong Vipers Academy brand.
This includes but not limited to our Jr.
Vipers Academy basketball training program, monthly basketball tournaments hosted at our facility, youth basketball travel teams and basketball camps at our facility.
Responsibilities in Different Areas of our Basketball Programs
Jr.
Vipers Academy: Manager will coordinate, conduct and manage our developmental Basketball Academy weekly classes to assure that the program continues to provide high quality basketball training, growth, great customer service, strong camper retention and a positive basketball culture.
This individual will also have the responsibility of creating and managing multiple basketball teams with our Academy campers of different age groups.
These teams will compete in local basketball tournaments once a month.
Monthly Basketball Tournaments: The basketball operations manager will be responsible for promoting the events, monitoring team registrations, creating tournament schedules, and overseeing the monthly basketball tournaments that will be hosted at DHR Sports Center.
Travel Teams: Manager will establish and coordinate at least two basketball travel teams (male or female) annually.
The manager will coach one of the teams during the season.
Teams will compete in out-of-valley basketball tournaments.
Basketball Camps: The manager will coordinate and manage three to five kids camps annually which may be hosted at DHR Sports Center or Bert Ogden Arena.

Strong verbal communication and motivational skills
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree is strongly recommended
Strong basketball background; 4 to 6 years of playing organized high school and/or college basketball
3 to 5 years experience of coaching or training children in basketball (ages of 5-18)
Certifications
USA Basketball Gold Coaches' License-required to obtained online once job position is accepted
Valid driver's license
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of hustling and standing while directing our youth basketball programs
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
