Opportunity Details: Seeking a Program Director for a new Emergency Medicine Residency Program in South Texas! The South Texas Health System GME Consortium has received its Initial Accreditation from ACGME and is announcing the launch of new residency programs, including Emergency Medicine.
We seek a committed Emergency Medicine Program Director to lead the first expected group of residents in July 2024.

Opportunity Highlights: Program Director for a new Emergency Medicine Program with an opportunity to grow.
Immediate initial consulting agreement to lead the ACGME Emergency Medicine application until the initial accreditation is granted, with an anticipated accreditation in early 2024.
Annual CME / Professional Development.
Faculty appointment from an affiliated University Faculty Development Research Support Income guarantee Experienced GME team to support Program Director (APD, Program Manager, GME team, ADME, and DIO) Position Requirements: Current board certification by the ABEM or AOBEM.
Texas Medical License or eligible by the time program is accredited.
At least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience with previous experience as a core faculty member in an ACGME-accredited or AOA-approved emergencymedicine program.
Recent evidence of ongoing involvement in scholarly activity, including peer-reviewed publications.
Recent PD or APD experience preferred.
Ability to demonstrate interpersonal, organizational, educator, and leadership skills.
