ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

We are a boutique law firm focused on representing school districts, universities, and governmental entities in Texas.
We are currently seeking a smart, capable, and diligent attorney to work out of our Pharr office.
Any candidate who applies must have excellent legal research and writing skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience in administrative law, litigation, education law, and/or representing government institutions.
The position provides an opportunity to work independently with the support of the other attorneys and paralegals at the firm.
We are looking for someone who offers excellent legal skills and judgment and also has the desire to grow their own practice over time.
The compensation is based on experience and includes a competitive base salary and an opportunity for a bonus based on volume and quality of work.
Our firm was founded in Austin, Texas in 1992, and we have grown to establish offices in the Rio Grande Valley, Fort Worth, and San Antonio.
Some travel will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Representing school districts, universities, and governmental entities.
* Conducting thorough legal research and producing high-quality writing.
* Litigating and handling administrative law cases.
* Engaging collaboratively within the firm while also demonstrating prowess in independent case management.
Required Qualifications:
* Current Texas law license in good standing
* Ability and willingness to travel within Texas (approximately 5-7 days per month)
* 0-5 years of experience
* Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

* Professional, well-spoken
* Experience in the education field
