*Job Description:*
We are seeking a motivated and bilingual Pre-Litigation Assistant to join our dynamic team.
You will play a pivotal role in the initial stages of personal injury cases, ensuring a smooth transition from case sign up to hand off to litigation department.
Your strong communication skills, both written and verbal, will be essential as you interact with clients, medical professionals, insurance companies, and other relevant parties.
*Responsibilities:*
- Conduct initial client intake interviews in both English and Spanish to gather relevant case information.
- Assist clients in completing necessary documentation and forms for their personal injury claims.
- General clerk duties, including answering phones, scanning, copying, faxing, document drafting, including record requests, cover letters, and demand drafts
- Collaborate with medical providers to collect medical records, bills, and other relevant documents.
- Communicate with insurance companies, opposing parties, and others to facilitate the pre-litigation process.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files, ensuring all information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Keep clients informed about the progress of their cases and address their questions and concerns.
- Assist in preparing demand packages and negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters under the guidance of attorneys.
- Provide exceptional customer service to address client needs and concerns.
*Qualifications:*
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is a must.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a law firm or legal environment.
- Familiarity with pre-litigation process and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate approach when dealing with clients.
- Proficiency in using case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High level of professionalism and ethical conduct.
