Job\_Requirements:
Boutique civil litigation firm seeking an associate level attorney with at least 3+ years of experience to assist on caseload consisting of bodily injury matters in our office.
o Must have proficiency in handling bodily injury cases through trial including taking depositions, oral argument and hearing attendance, negotiating settlements, reporting to clients, etc.
o Must be able to proficiently handle appearances and assignments with minimal or no supervision.
Assists in the resolution of calendar conflicts.
o Motivated, self-starters need only apply.
o Must be currently licensed to practice law in Texas (additional licensure in other States a plus).
o Computer skills, including MS Office, used in or related to the tasks performed.
o Bilingual – Spanish/English Preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Provides coordination, and collaboration between litigation team of paralegals.
Review all documentary evidence.
Prepare for depositions, arbitrations, mediations and trials
Conducts depositions and examinations under oath
Prepares and conducts court appearances (hearings, status conferences, etc.
)
Conducts settlement proceedings (e.
g.
mediations, arbitrations, etc.
)
Try cases and prepares motions in liminie and summary documents
Draft post-trial motions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.
