*Responsibilities:*
*Transaction Support:*
* Assist attorneys in the preparation, review, and organization of real estate transaction documents, including purchase agreements, deeds, leases, and closing statements.
* Conduct due diligence, title searches, and review property surveys.
* Coordinate with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved in transactions.
*Document Drafting and Review:*
* Draft and edit legal documents, contracts, and correspondence related to real estate transactions.
* Review and analyze contracts to ensure compliance with legal requirements and client instructions.
* Prepare and file necessary documents with government agencies.
*Title Examination:*
* Conduct title examinations and identify any potential issues affecting the property.
* Collaborate with title insurance companies to resolve title defects.
*Closing Coordination:*
* Facilitate and coordinate real estate closings, including scheduling, document preparation, and communication with all parties.
* Prepare closing statements and ensure accurate distribution of funds.
*Client Communication:*
* Communicate with clients to provide updates on the progress of real estate transactions.
* Address client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
*Legal Research:*
* Conduct legal research on real estate laws, regulations, and precedents.
* Stay informed about changes in real estate laws and practices.
*Experience*:
- Previous experience working as a paralegal or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
- Familiarity with document management systems and electronic filing systems
- Proficiency in conducting legal research using online resources
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with administrative and clerical tasks in a legal setting
