0 Scope of Job The UTRGV School of Medicine seeks faculty members at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor for teaching Pathology.
Experience teaching in an LCME accredited medical school is preferred.
Their background should be in the discipline of Cell Biology and/or Pathology.
The chosen individuals will assist in implementing a vertically and horizontally integrated curriculum utilizing active, team-based and problem based learning, flipped classroom and self-directed study.
Minimum Qualifications Terminal degree (Ph.

) or equivalent with postdoctoral experience in the area of expertise.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
