Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Tow Truck Operator to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with vehicle breakdowns and accidents, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of damaged vehicles to service stations.
The Tow Truck Operator will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including vehicle pick-up, equipment check, vehicle maintenance, documentation, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
Vehicle Pick Up: Assist in picking up vehicles for local law enforcement, dealership customers, and roadside assistance.
Equipment Check: Ensure that the proper equipment is loaded onto the truck for daily operations.
Vehicle Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on fleet vehicles.
Clean trucks inside and out to maintain a professional appearance.
Towbook Documentation: Document all service calls using Towbook, including capturing photos of picked-up vehicles.
Department Assistance: Collaborate with the collision and service department to move vehicles to the designated shop area.
Documentation: Send out the necessary paperwork for vehicles that are impounded to registered owners and lien holders.
Safety: Drive company vehicles in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner, adhering to traffic regulations and avoiding accidents.
Work carefully to prevent injury and damage to vehicles.
Comply with established company policies and procedures.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to members in need of emergency mechanical assistance.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Previous experience as a tow truck operator or similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic mechanical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
