Role Mission: The Information Systems & Technology team is responsible for data security, information systems (student, staff, and business data), information technology, instructional technology (for students and staff), research and analysis, software development, project management, technology operations.
Recently, the team has created proprietary software, partnered with instructional leaders to provide views of student performance to drive decision-making, manage employee and student data across multiple platforms and applications, spearheaded the district’s 1:1 technology initiative to tackle the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on education delivery.
Their focus on customer service and industry standards of project management leads the way in the organization.
Summer Interns are assigned to departments aligned to their intended career trajectory and are provided with the opportunity to manage and execute alongside district leaders.
Through guided project management and constructive feedback alumni build transferrable skills and mindsets for success in their collegiate journey and future professional endeavors.
Depending on the assigned department, in this role, you will:
Provide professional support to assigned district department and hiring manager
Set professional development goals, receive feedback on progress, and make necessary changes to reach maximum career potential
Manage multiple responsibilities with changing deliverables
Provide excellent customer service and partnership with all internal and external stakeholders
Respond to Help Desk support tickets in a timely manner and with strong customer satisfaction ratings
Enter data to support data accuracy and processing across various systems and platforms
Analyze data and create reports to drive decision-making
Effectively and efficiently complete projects or support execution of projects across their lifecycle
Set up and track student and staff technology
Troubleshoot, repair and install computer systems
Configure and automate software installations
Provide administrative, logistical, operational, and event support
Other duties as assigned
Required Experience and Certifications:
Must be currently enrolled in college (Spring 2024) and completed a minimum of 1 academic semester with a cumulative GPA or 2.
5 or higher
Preference given to graduates of IDEA Public Schools (not a requirement to be an IDEA alumni)

Job Specifications:
Commitment: 9-12 week program
Location: On-stie in our Texas regions (some remote position may be needed for two of the available roles)
Compensation: $10-$12 per hour depending on region
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.
m.
– 5:00 p.
m.
