Job Description Overview: Responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary and hazard-free environment within, around and outside of the production areas applying proper cleaning procedures, following GMP’s and Safety policies.
Ensures that all equipment is clean, sanitized and ready for to be used by production.
Support Leads on the training of new employees and helping other sanitors to complete their tasks.
Here's what you'll do: Disassemble, clean, sanitize and reassemble all equipment as needed, also identifying mechanical issues and reporting to Lead and/or reliability members Proper labeling of all chemicals used Operate sanitation equipment such as pressure washers, foamers, sprayers and sanitizing tools Operate other equipment such as Forklifts, scissor lifts, Auto-scrubbers and Boom lifts Follow all safety procedures required when performing job duties with special attention to Lock Out/Tag Out and Aerial Protection rules and assist Leads on verifying other sanitors are following these procedures Follow and be knowledgeable in when certain personal protection equipment (PPE) is needed according to task and also assist Leads in verifying sanitors use the correct PPE Perform the basic housekeeping which includes clean floors, walls, ceiling, air vents, lights, etc.
, of the plant, equipment, and exterior of all equipment Utilize cleaning chemicals and concentrations according to procedures and identify when it is required to look for an alternative cleaner due to limitations, such as chemical damage on equipment Complies with attendance and punctuality policies Follows the color code and GMPs necessary for sanitation Gain and achieve familiarity of all chemicals Perform any other assigned tasks Qualifications Here's what you'll bring to the table: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or, three to six months related experience and/or training; or, equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, Ability to complete reports.
