*Job Summary:* A janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in a facility, ensuring that it is safe, sanitary, and inviting for occupants and visitors.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
· *Cleaning and Sanitizing:* Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces.
· *Trash Removal:* Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables.
· *Restroom Maintenance*: Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies (e.
g.
, soap, paper towels), and ensure they are in good working order.
· *Floor Care*: Maintain and care for various types of flooring (e.
g.
, carpet, tile, hardwood) as appropriate.
· *Window Cleaning:* Clean windows and glass surfaces.
· *Supply Management*: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and report when supplies are low.
· *Maintenance Assistance:* Report maintenance issues or repairs that are beyond routine cleaning responsibilities.
· *Safety Compliance:* Ensure that safety and sanitation standards are met and follow safety protocols.
· *Organization:* Maintain janitorial closets and storage areas in an organized and tidy manner.
· *Special Projects:* Assist with special cleaning projects or setups for events
