We are hiring for a part time position between the hours of 10 am - 6 pm Monday - Friday to help prepare and serve lunch, snack and dinner to our children (average 25 hours per week).
If you have an interest in gaining experience in a classroom setting you have the option of working in the classroom 1-2 days per week as long as you complete your required trainings.
Floater duties required such as covering breaks, answering doors and phones, and assisting with child drop off/pickup.
The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring that children are well fed, safe, and loving their time in our daycare center.
We're looking for a person who enjoys working with children, that respects their unique personalities and provide a nurturing environment, have a vibrant and energetic personality, good communication skills and patience.
Responsibilities:
* Provide care as a floater for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years as needs arise, including absences, break coverage, and providing additional support
* Maintain a welcoming, safe, and clean environment which includes cleaning classrooms and equipment and disinfecting toys.
* Follows the daily menu prepared in conjunction with, or by, the Director, including portion control standards for meal and snack preparation
* Maintains food item inventory.
* Serve meals to each classroom on time, at the appropriate temperature
* Maintain daily production reports
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including all food storage areas
* Follows and adheres to safe food handling and sanitation standards according to program requirements and procedures.
* Uses quick, safe reactions and responses in dealing with children or situations that involve children.
* Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* At least 18 years of age
* High School Diploma/GED required
* Food Handlers Certificate required or willing to obtain before start date
* CPR and First Aid Certification required or willing to obtain within 1 week of hire
* Cleared background check and fingerprints
* Preferred prior experience working with young children
Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday 7 am- 7 pm.
