Travel Escorts must be dependable and responsible workers as well as properly supervise children in their direct care while reunifying them outside of Sunny Glen Children’s Home (e.
g.
, an airport, flight, etc.
).
Travel Escorts must ensure to follow program policies as well as adapt to an on-call schedule based on program needs as well as keep the children’s best interests in mind and communicate frequently with their department lead about the status of each child’s reunification.
Other duties may apply aside from those listed in the Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the job role.

Able to maintain a flexible work schedule (due to working an unknown number of hours during flights, evacuations, etc.

Able to obtain or currently possess a driver’s License.
Able to operate a 5-passenger car, a 7-passenger van, a 12-passenger van, and a 15-passenger transit van.
Able to be on-call including holidays, weekends, and on your projected day off in case of a flight, program emergency, evacuation, etc.
Able to abide by the program's Social Media policy even when there's limited to no supervision from a supervisor while on a flight.
Able to submit paperwork on time and not miss any signatures from the child's sponsor.
Able to communicate immediately with Lead Travel Escort in the case of any unexpected circumstance.
Able to immediately report when a vehicle appears to have any light on the odometer (e.
g.
oil change needed, airbag is deactivated, seat belt tension is malfunctioning, LTP, etc.
).
Able to log information accurately, efficiently, and properly (only documenting in English and quoting what was said by the child, in any given situation where the child is on an observation, sleep, water or behavioral log, etc.
).
Able and willing to learn the proper use of booster seats and car seats for tender-aged children as well as know and learn how the car seats should be fastened and which direction it should be facing for proper security of the child(ren).
Able to direct any media, photographers, or news channel personnel to the proper entity whether at the airport or en route to Sunny Glen Children’s Home.
Able to recognize which necessary documents are missing from the child's NTA during and prior to reunification.
Ensuring not to ever leave a child unsupervised or unattended at any point (whether at Sunny Glen Children’s Home, leaving Sunny Glen Children’s Home, at the airport, etc.
).
