Among other duties, a Credit Analyst II assists loan officers in evaluating the financial history and financial statements of credit applicants, with a focus toward assessing creditworthiness.

Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties, as assigned, including cross training across other departments, as necessary.
Assists loan officers in evaluating the financial history and financial statements of credit applicants, with a focus toward assessing creditworthiness
Evaluates financial strength, adequacy of cash flow, the probability of full repayment and determines if collateral or a guarantor is needed to adequately secure the loan
Prepares or assists in the preparation of loan requests for presentation to loan officers or committees
Provides additional assistance to loan officers, as requested
Participates in job specific training and other various Bank training programs, as necessary
Maintains current knowledge of internal risk controls and loss prevention, including reporting of suspicious or unusual customer activity per Bank policy
Maintains current knowledge and complies with all federal and state laws and regulations and all established Bank policies and procedures, including internal audit controls related to department operations
Maintains current knowledge of all rules, regulations, and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML
QUALIFICATIONS

A self-starting individual who possesses a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting or Finance
Two years prior experience as a Credit Analyst I or Credit Risk Analyst I
Knowledge of commercial, trade-finance, asset-based lending, loan documentation, financial statements and cash flow analysis is preferred
Aptitude for math and performing calculations, cash flow analysis and ratios
Computer literacy in Windows, Microsoft Excel and Word
Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks with frequent interruptions
Ability to meet deadlines
Must be able to work extended hours, as required
Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired
ORGANIZATION
This position reports to the Credit Analyst Manager
This position does not oversee other positions
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
All employees are required to attend scheduled mandatory trainings and complete online regulatory compliance training courses applicable to their specific job function.
In all situations, employees must ensure that their actions fully comply with all federal banking laws and regulations, including internal bank policies and procedures.
Failure to adhere to these requirements will be grounds for disciplinary action, including probation and possible termination.
