15 Maximum PAY GRADE: PS4 PRIMARY PURPOSE: The scope of his/her responsibilities is to assist in the maintenance of warehousing activities in regards to capital outlay equipment, copy paper, loaner items, etc.
Also another responsibility is the maintaining of the fixed assets inventory program that is a compilation of the fixed asset items on a district-wide level.
QUALIFICATIONS: TEA certification requirements High School Graduate or GED Must possess office skills Experience with personal computers Cooperative and dependable MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: • Assist on a district wide level, the maintaining of a complete and systematic set of records of all capital outlay transactions with the use of a fixed assets program.
• Assists in maintaining a subsidiary fixed assets ledger.
• Summarizes and balances entries recorded in individual journals and ledgers, and transfers data to general ledgers for fixed assets.
• Assists in tracing errors and records adjustments to correct charges or credits posted to incorrect amounts.
• Make necessary computer entries to record items that have been stolen, vandalized, transferred, deleted, or acquired.
• Prepares and processes documentation when delivering, receiving, transferring, or disposing of capital outlay equipment.
• Performs physical inventories of all fixed assets items district wide and warehouse inventories.
• Tagging and identifying of all capital outlay equipment, either manually or by using bar coding equipment.
• Filing and inputting of data from purchase orders that are associated with capital outlay equipment.
• Maintenance of files for all purchase orders associated with capital outlay equipment.
• Making inquiries to vendors about delivery confirmation and back ordered items, to campuses about items received, and to the Accounts Payable Dept.

• Inquiring about outstanding purchase orders that are associated with capital outlay equipment.
• Prepares and processes work orders in regards to furniture being used as loaners for school events, to warehouse items such as copy and printer paper, and to the movement of capital outlay equipment.
• Assisting in the maintenance of records retention.
• Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
