Description:
Drivers will operate a crude oil transportation truck, including oil testing, loading and unloading and carry Crude Oil between customer leases, tanks and pipelines.
Upon joining, drivers enter a period of training to demonstrate proficiency in safe driving procedures, crude oil measurement and testing, and operation of the system and ticketing process.
The work zone is in East Texas (Longview, Marshall, Linde, Carthage, Tyler) and with the Louisiana (Shreveport, Cotton Valley), border
Payment is 30% of gross.
Responsibilities:
Operate crude oil transport trucks, including steering, shifting, using signals, and reading various control devices.
Connect hoses between trailer and unloading/loading facility and monitor unloading/loading process to avoid spills and ensure that equipment is functioning properly.
Inspect trucks and trailers per DOT requirements (brakes, engine oil, water levels, lights, loading hoses, etc.
).
Gauge tanks.
Ensure the correct products are safely loaded and delivered to the correct location.
Provide outstanding customer service.
Operate on-board computer equipment properly
Must adhere to all company safety policies as well as all Department of Transportation safety regulations and laws.
Attend mandatory safety meetings
Requirements:
Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
Must have valid Tanker & Hazmat endorsement
Must have current DOT medical card
Maintain qualification to drive as mandated by Department of Transportation
Must have at least two (2) years verifiable tanker experience including a preferred minimum of two (2) years recent crude oil or liquid hauling experience
